During the event, AFT MA will lead a deep dive on the fiscal crisis—which I know is top of mind for our local and members—discuss updates on statewide graduation requirements and AFT MA’s strategic plan, and provide space for locals to connect directly with each other. Senator Ed Markey will also be joining to share federal updates impacting our union and communities.
These town halls are an opportunity for our local and members to get important updates from our statewide union so we can exercise our collective power, and connect with and learn from other locals whose challenges might mirror our own—and whose solutions might help us build power, too.
Our president, Bob Collins, will also be a panelist for the contracts section.
